Courthouse Wedding

Hello, my fiancée and I want to get married at the Durham Courthouse this year. I know there's been a change and they no longer accept appointments for both obtaining the license and the ceremony. Has anyone gotten married in the same way recently and can provide advice? How is the wait? Is it possible to get the marriage license and do the ceremony on the same day? Will they allow 3 witnesses in (I know only 2 are required to sign)? Any pointers would be greatly appreciated!!
