My first laptop

Hi I'm 15 and it's my first time buying a laptop. I'm super excited but it's a bit confusing to settle on something. I just want to use my laptop for school work and a bit of gaming like hooking it up with my PS5 via a capture card and using it for emulation and indies . I just want something I can use for the next few years . People of the internet I hope you all can suggest me something good . My budget is around 500 $ and can stretch it a bit .
