PDA text in VR.

I am just curious -

When I used to play subnautica in my Rift (still would have but I abandoned windows), the PDA information was completely illegible due to the screen door effect and poor resolution per eye. I had to use mods to bring the PDA closer to the player's face so the letters would get large enough to be able to read PDA data.

How much better is the experience in modern VR headsets?
