Fellow PC übermensch,
I recently bought the following spec'd system off a fellow redditor:
1) CPU - Ryzen 5 7600
2) GPU - RTX 5070
3) DDR5 - 5600Mhz (32 Gigs)

The other parts dont seem relevant to this discussion hence omitting for brevity.

I am gaming at 1080p, reason being, I love turning on ray tracing/path tracing whenever possible and still gettting relatively high refresh rates (I'm happy as long as I get above 60fps without frame gen but would love more as my monitor supports 120hz) and 12 GB VRAM could potentially become a bottleneck in the next couple years at higher resolutions, so instead of getting a 1440p monitor and then down the line having to turn settings down to hit the VRAM limits, I'd rather stick to 1080p and enjoy all the glory of RT at it's finest.

My question is around the CPU, as I understand at lower resolutions the CPU can bottleneck the GPU. Now, with all that context out of the way, the question is, would a 7600x3d improve 1080p gaming performance compared to the vanilla 7600?

Some of you might find my decision to stick to 1080p weird or stupid, which is fine. However, I don't intend to change my opinion on this matter, as, for me, the softness of 1080p is something I can live with provided I get the best visuals and decent framerates in return (while not breaking the bank on something like a 9800X3D).

I appreciate all your help!
