Best way to cut fan holes into acrylic window?

Hi,

I have an outdated Silverstone TJ09 computer case that has an acrylic window with bad air flow dynamics. I think it would help if I could get some more air intake into the case so thinking of cutting either some vents or use a 120 or 92 mm diamond hole bit to cut through it. Maybe I should prep the area with painter's tape prior. Anyone have experience on doing this particular mod? Thanks
