Interview update

I interviewed for a seasonal Merchandising Service Associate position at Lowe’s about a week ago, and I haven’t received any updates yet. They had instructed me to check my email on that Friday for any news.

It’s been about a week now with no email or call. The job posting also disappeared shortly after my interview.

For anyone who works at Lowe’s or has been hired there before:

Is a week normal to wait for an offer?

Do they usually contact backup candidates if the first person declines?

Or should I assume they went with someone else?

Just trying to figure out if I should still expect to hear something or move on.
