How does cola taste?

I’m avid diet coke drinker and am obsessed with my current drink station. I drink coffee, tea, refreshers, but still use cans of pop. Does the cola taste too fake, or is it similar to diet coke? I hate that I can’t try it before spending $160 on the newest model.
