9070XT Mercury from XFX crashing drivers on Windows and Linux (Solution)
Hey there,
I recently picked up an XFX 9070XT Mercury OC, and it's awesome! All the games run smoothly, and the card doesn't go over 70°C. But I’ve been getting driver crashes in some games right after they load.
I did some digging and found that the factory overclock might be causing the issues. So, I underclocked the card by -500 MHz, and that fixed the crashes in both Windows and Linux. I used MSI Afterburner for Windows and LACT for Linux.
Now I'm wondering: Is this a common problem with all the cards, or did I just get a faulty one? Should I go ahead and RMA it, or wait for better drivers? I have a 1200W Corsair PSU, and I'm using two PCI-E power cables in the card, one of them is daisy-chained to the third connector.
