Eng to med is really frowned upon isn’t it

Going to uni next year and title is my plan and I am aware that it’s hard but it’s genuinely what I want to do in life, not just for money or prestige but I genuinely want to be an engineer and a doctor I’ve always had passions for both.

The thing is I’ve stopped telling people about the med school part cause they just look at me like I’m stupid. “Just do health sci” “ur gonna be fried” “yeah right like that could happen”. These are all things people have actually said to me and more.

Again, I am very aware that this is a hard route but I honestly couldn’t care I’m just gonna study my ass off and get to med school. Like it’s been done before by many so idk why people frown on me so much when I tell them.

Anyways I just wanted share and maybe see if there are people that did take this route. Thanks!
