Doubles getting tougher?
I feel like double jeopardy clues in regular season games have gotten noticeably harder this season, especially in the last week or two since the JIT ended.
For many years, it's seemed to me like large / true double wagers were a winning strategy because the double clues were equally likely to be hard or easy, relative to the others in that category. And for really good players like Holzhauer, that meant going all in every time was pretty likely to either lock in an easy win or, at worst, dig a moderate hole that he could easily grind out of with another streak or another all-in double.
But lately I've seen a lot of players going all in on a lot of doubles and getting stumped by like tournament-level clues that are def harder than most others on the board. I think one contestant even got all three doubles this week, went all in on all of them, and lost every one bc the clues were just tough
Anyone else agree, or is it just me?
