Cracked screen on a 4th gen pro

I cracked my screen on my 11” 4th gen pro. I’m wasn’t too worried about because I have Apple Care but after thinking about it my IPad is almost 4 years old at this point. I doubt Apple will repair so will they replace it with another 4th gen or will I receive a newer model?

Being told they’ll credit a discount to a new one is gonna suck, cause it’ll probably only be $350
