Differences between Steam and EGS versions

I have always wanted to play Poppy Playtime, been watching it on YouTube since the first chapter released and now that I’ve got a PC I have entered in a dilemma. The differences between Steam and EGS versions are very interesting, at first the Steam version (ig the most popular one) comes with this different menu, higher definition graphics, but it lacks some language options in some chapters and even controller support. But when we talk about EGS version, the menu seems more simple, the graphics are presets rather than giving you the option of customization and limited for some reason, it has support for all the languages available in game and also comes with controller support. Why would the same game be so different in different launchers? It’s not a Console/PC difference, because they’re both the PC version, is it intentional or something mob hasn’t even noticed themselves
