Is the MacBook Neo worth it?

Hello I’d like some advice on the MacBook Neo. I currently have a 2020 MacBook Pro and had it early 2021. I use it almost daily as a college student. I use Microsoft platforms and canvas for assignments. I work in a lab and use it a lot for writing protocols, reading papers but also I am learning to code both in R studio and Python. The MacBook Neo is right in my budget but I’m not sure if I should just stick with my MacBook I have right now or get something else. My MacBook sounds like a loud fan when I use it for long hours and dies pretty quickly, and is slow when using other platforms but not horribly slow. So I think it’s time to update but any advice would be helpful!
