I need help and I’m not sure if I should get this checked out or not

in the roof of my mouth there’s something hard that hurts when I put pressure on it that it is not the roof of my mouth and I don’t know what it is. It’s been there for like two maybe three years now and I still don’t know what it is. I thought it would just go away. Please help.
