Culture: The brothers of the chapter hold an infamously quiet disposition, it is believed by most mortal allies the chapter does battle with that this is due to cold hearts and uncaring minds, but in reality it is merely a state of focus. A brother's mind is near constantly focused on some aspect of their being. Their will, their armor, their weapons, combat scenarios, battles yet to occur in which they gain insurmountable glory, the people of their homeworld, etc. These daydreams are encouraged by the chapter's reclusium as they believe they keep the brothers of the chapter ever focused on their duties. It is often believed that if an enemy were ever able to infiltrate the Fortress Monastery there would be some brother whose thought of this exact (though likely impossible) scenario. Other than this the chapter holds personal honor and dignity in high regard, the brothers of the chapter often forming their own honor codes that only they themselves follow for no reason other than they believe it to be right. These codes often being engraved on their armor or written on parchment that is attached to their battle plate.

Serfs: Often failed aspirants or relatives. Once a boy is made an official aspirant his bloodline is often considered to be under the protection of (enslaved to) the chapter, and any further children and any living family are made into serfs as well. At minimum serfs are treated fair by the brothers of the chapter, though as serfs are usually the brother's blood relatives or the relatives of one of his brothers, serfs are typically held in high regard (though still being serfs this gives little wiggle room to be disobedient). Often seen wearing an ancient Terran style of clothes known as houppelande.

Training: Primarily exposure trials (being that they're in Imperium Nihilus there is no shortage of dangerous locales). Though in the first phases of becoming an aspirant the chapter primarily focuses on the character of the boys, tracking this with quizzes and non-combat scenarios. The common thought in the chapter is that discipline and physical fitness will come in during the training and indoctrination (though boys who already have these traits are significantly more likely to make it to the title of Battle-Brother). Homeworld: Medes VIII. Civilized World [FORMER]. Feudal World [CURRENT]. After the opening of the Cicitrix Maledictum the world of Medes VIII was under constant attack and constant revolts from the forces of the Enemy Without, so much too the point that the world has been regressed to a feudal state. When the Knights Unwavering arrived they aided the abused populace in a brital defense against The Barbed Hand Night Lords warband. Since that time the chapter has made Medes VIII their unofficial home, with their fortress monastery being their flag ship [Retribution's Torch], until the High Lords make it official. The chapter has spent the past years protecting the people from the terrors of the cosmos.

Combat Doctrine: the chapters makes extensive use of fire support squads. There are far too few forges able to produce for the chapter, so headlong assaults are quite a risky and ill advised strategy among the chapter's commanders. Typically melee assaults are performed via jump pack squads. Other than these the Knights Unwavering are a codex compliant chapter with acceptable deviance.

Notable engagements: M42-????: Battled Tyranid splinter-fleet Kronos alongside Blood Angels 4th company.

M42-????: Convenient alliance with Craftworld Iybraesil to purge a growing Emperor's Children warband. 3rd and 7th company lost.

M42-????: Due to chaos cult sabotage the people of Medes VIII were under a famine, starting a small Khornate cult based around the practice of cannibalism. After purging this cult, but with the threat of splinter cults rising in its stead (and the population relatively small to begin with) the chapter made a desperate deal with the Tau Merchant fleet to feed the populace, as payment a 1st company bladeguard squad is accompanying the leaders of the fleet for an agrees upon account of years.

M42-????: Purged [REDACTED] after it was revealed that is was a Tomb World of the [DATA LOST] Dynasty. Worked heavily with local PDF forces to engage in infantry assaults. The 5th company alongside various 9th company squads eliminated key officers of the xenos. Eventually the chapter departed and left the clean up to the PDF.

M42-????: 4th, 6th, and 8th companies sent to a reemerged space hulk ID'd as Despair's End. Hoping to find any relics or ancient war gear for the chapter's techmarines to modify and repair for standard use. A young Lexicanium recieved a vision from a farseer warning of the tragedy that will occur should the chapter enter Despair's End. The young Librarian tried to warn the commanders of the future, but the mission was deemed too important (and Eldar too dishonest) to pass up based on a xenos message. ~300 marines entered the hulk. 40 came out. The survivors report the Barbed Hand warband made use of the hulk's layout and daemonic possession, as more brothers fell their bodies were taken and used as vessels for daemons.

M42-????: Participat[ing]ed in Indomitus Crusade. Unknown fleet.
