I think I cracked the Hasan code
Hasan likes people based on how they treat him. For instance, he is harder on Destiny, actual liberal that wants to improve the country, than Asmongold or Nick Fuentes, literally far right fascists. Hasan only cares if someone goes hard on him or criticizes him as a person. He doesn't care that much about policy. His ego matters most.
He is no different than Trump. The demon in chief goes from treating Mamdani like an existential threat--and even going far as to say he'd take over NYC if Mamdani won -- to glazing him on live TV and even letting Mamdani call him a fascist. Probably why he's cool with Bill Maher, Maher criticizes only his actions, and not him as a person, in a serious and meaningful way. He hates Democrats, not just his stupid WWE reality tv slop drama, because they tried to hold him accountable.
This all applies to Hasan. This is why he was fine with Ethan and Moggler pushing back on him from a more moderate position because both avoided making personal critiques that make Hasan feel bad. It's about as childish as Trump's probable mode of operation. You don't make them feel too guilty or else they quickly grow to hate you.
Gavin could do some funny shit to Hasan using this though. Gavin could speak to him like Moggler did, and Hasan will warm up to Newsom. Don't attack Hasan's point of view or as a person and only strictly defend. Hasan going soft on Newsom will make his fandom go insane but Hasan will argue with his chat, albiet weakly, because his ego matters most. He is a dictator that sometimes appeases his core base, but ultimately his stupid commie larp, his ultimate goal, his proverbial one piece. Just like Trump's possible desire to be seen as the greatest person in the world
