Pokémon Glitched?

Pokémon FireRed was released on the Switch, but I thought the price was way too high, so I started playing it on an emulator instead. I finished the main story and caught over 90 Pokémon, but I wanted to use a cheat code to get the tickets that let you catch Deoxys, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. After a bit of struggle, I managed it and found them in my PC. Then I wanted to turn off the cheats, and when I checked my PC to see if anything was left, I saw 119 Leppa Berries. I freaked out and instantly restarted the game, and everything was gone. So nothing serious happened, but I was wondering if anyone actually has a clear explanation of what could have caused that
