I bought a Sebo D4 today and already regret it.
I have an even mix of carpet and hard floors in my home with pets and stairs. I did a lot of research and was convinced I would enjoy a good canister vacuum. I've only ever had uprights. I was set on trying a Miele C3 and a Sebo E3 so I went to a small vacuum store today to try both. The salesman successfully upsold me on the D4. It didn't seem terribly big in the store but once I got home it just felt huge and clunky. My family and I had a hard time maneuvering it through my house and I just wasn't blown away. Now I'm not so convinced a canister is right for me. I had also originally anticipated spending a bit less for a vacuum. I've already boxed it back up to return. Is there an upright with comparable quality? I'm looking for something easy to maneuver, is good with medium pile carpets, and is good for pets. The Riccar R27P? Sebo X7?
