No I don't want to prepare for Christmas...
Bit of a rant. My grandmother's thing is Christmas crafts. She starts them in January and continues them until December, takes a week off for depression and over stimulation and then starts up again... It's whatever, I hate all the clutter and stuff everywhere and how she's manic about it... But it brings her joy. She thinks it should bring me joy and is constantly giving me projects to work on and then getting mad when I dont do them or do them fast and move on. I hate Christmas. Caring for her and work I don't have time for my own hobbies let alone hers. This is just more pointless work on my plate. It's also been a clear indicator for her dementia and how it's progressed... The quality drop... The weird ideas. The taking everything and anything she can find and gluing it together and wanting us to pretend it's the greatest thing but at the same time discouraging her from trying to sell it... It was once cute, now it's tacky at best... It also shows how she can't really plan anymore and some of these projects take weeks when in reality they should take minutes or a couple of hours. She constantly starches her supplies and then forgets where it was so rummages for hours to find it... I'm ready for another night fighting with her to take her meds and then have her up every 2 hours to craft then being exhausted tomorrow.
