The government doesn't care. To the president: The president is merely a representative and a tool in the hands of the government. They don't care about his death or removal; what matters is their continued rule for as long as possible. They brainwash citizens from a young age, instilling in them a love for a piece of land and a refusal to oppose them. They don't record their failures and setbacks in history books, but rather their glories and successes. They mention fictitious projects and portray them as successful, while the citizen doesn't even have a loaf of bread. They write in the books of the elite.Cities we will never live in, or have the money to live in, and all of this is done in the name of patriotism.
