Can we talk about how annoying Spongebob was in the first movie?

The movie starts with him preparing for the announcement of the new Krusty Krab 2 manager, and he just ASSUMES he'll be the one to get it.

He doesn't believe IF he gets it, he believes WHEN he gets it.

He's so sure of it, that when the manager is announced and it's not him, he's unable to fathom not being the manager, believing he actually did get the job.

And when Krabs tells him he didn't and why he didn't get it, he throws a massive pity party, believing it's the end of the world all because he didn't get a stupid promotion.

Krabs was right about him, he's just a kid.

I can't believe we're supposed to call him the protagonist.

The movie should've been called Plankton: The movie 0 because Plankton is a much more likable character than him and the real protagonist.
