Imperial College London Global Summer Program

The Global Summer Program at Imperial College London is still accepting applications (they do rolling acceptance). How is this program regarded within the UK? Is it mostly for international students or is it a mix? Is it prestigious and competitive and therefore quite expensive? Was wondering if anyone had any experience with this program. Any alternatives? Thanks in advance.
