[Online] [5e 2024] [5e 2014] [LGBTQ+] [EST] [VTT] [Looking For Player] [Homebrew] [18+] [MONDAY 8PM-12AM] First time DM who has been playing D&D for about 5 years but wanted to try DMing out! I am looking for 1 - maybe 2 players!
Introduction of myself:
Hello, my name is Hunter! I go by any pronouns as I think gender is a construct but that's a talk for another time lol. This is my first game running but I have been playing as a player since about 2020-2022!
A little about the game/players:
This game has been running for about 5-6 sessions, so if you are hesitant on joining we have pretty much just started so you wouldn't be missing out on much! The party is level 4 and full of pretty much morally good people! We have just gotten to a nature-esque city, yet there are rumors spreading in the town about how people are losing their skills/finesse in thing they have trained their whole life for! Now the party is here to figure out what is going on and what they can do to try and stop this strange occurrence from happening while trying to read up on cultish magic.
This game is a bit more on the serious side, but that doesn't mean we don't crack jokes or have fun! it is high fantasy but with high tech aspects, along with having things that might've taken place in the medieval times and some things taking place in the more modern age!
Lore about the world of Azeris:
You were raised in a world that has not experience any hardships, violence, or anything relatively extremely terrible for the last 100-500 years. You were raised to enjoy your life, you had the ability to never worry about war, you never had this feeling of creepy dread that you might lose your life when you step outside your home.
One night as you were going to gather your mail, you greet your neighbor as usual and they'd greet you back with a warm smile. You grab what you needed and notice a letter. You were confused, you never expected to receive a letter from a place of nobility of all things. Nonetheless you grab you letter opener and easily drag the blade along the crest that had sealed it shut to open it to which it reads:
"Greetings from long and far, or maybe near and close. I hope you are doing well and hope you may listen to my call. There is a apocalypse brewing right in front of our eyes, kingdoms and cities that used to consider each other friends now are almost at war with one another. Places that used to be peaceful are now overrun with cults and monsters. I do not know what is going on, but I am calling out to those who might possess some form of skill or knowledge that may help guide this world back to its peaceful times. You will be paid and have an advisor to make sur everything goes smoothly. I hope you will take my message and help us out, for we need someone to save our souls."
As you finish reading you were worried, not because this shocked you but because you've heard of the rumors yourself about a catastrophe, one that is to destroy this world. You've heard many stories from different people from where you are, Some whisper of a great betrayal that will cause the world to go at war with itself, others whisper of a plague that is going to destroy every living thing on this planet.
You decide to take the call, you knew that it was the right thing to do for better or for worse. Maybe you just wanted to get payed too, which no one would blame you for. Yet when you arrive you were told you were late, yet a woman appears before you as your advisor and are told that you will be joining a group already assembled that seems relatively well, while also being very goofy. You smile and agree to the terms of joining a already assembled group, a start heading off towards the city of Dornathor.
Looking for:
Honestly, I am looking for anyone who can have a good time and just enjoy themselves! I would like someone who is very comfortable with roleplaying but doesn't mind intricate and homebrewed combats! I encourage characters who are very morally complex, characters who might've done bad in the past but now are trying to make up for it. Maybe characters who are overcome by their shame and self worth and are trying to find a purpose! All in all, I think I'd like someone who wants to appreciate this world and want to see everything it has! These are just some ideas I'm spitting out and if you'd like to not do any of those ideas that's obviously perfectly ok!
