Want a few different experiences and opinions

Question

Job Corps is a potential option in my current situation, but I was very curious about a few things. I'm aware that all the centers have different policies and student satisfaction levels but I wanted all the info I could get, please let me know what center you are at as well as any info.

  1. ) Does stealing really happen all that often? If so, what would be considered worth stealing, and would students dare to steal something I keep on me at all times?

  2. ) How many people room with you? Is there any rhyme or reason to who you get paired with or is it just wherever you can go?

  3. ) What's the cell phone and noise policy?

  4. ) Do they allow terrarium pets if non-venomous?

  5. ) Is the food actually "healthy" and "nutritious", or is that just what they're labeling it for marketing(?) purposes?

  6. ) Would I be permitted to carry non-lethal self defense tools such as pepper spray or a personal alarm?

  7. ) How respectful overall are staff and students towards transgender and queer folks? What are the policies for going by a different name, set of pronouns, being on hrt, etc. ?

  8. ) Overall, would you say your time there was worth it, or has been worth it so far?
