Just finished binge watching everything. Continuity error(?) RE ian holt

i think there's a continuity error? i'm not sure... asking your opinion. for Deb/Jane, the premise was that the brain belongs to the body - so thinking skills. Memories belong with the soul. but when Jane was tyring to free Ian Holt, she brought all the files so Ian could help in the review... but shouldn't Ian's brain be Ian's and it's the memories that are Grayson's?

or is the entire legal thing in Grayson's memories so he could still work out legal things?
