Advice on creating an eclectic/not minimalist capsule wardrobe?

hey guys! I’m heading off to college soon and since I’m going to be living in a literal crevice in the wall, I’m downsizing my wardrobe. As someone who is getting a degree in costume design and has been a costume designer for years, you can imagine the state of my closet. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations for downsizing your wardrobe while maintaining personality and practicality?
