If Alex and Brittany had dated..

So I was thinking about Brittany’s relentless optimism in her relationship with Devonta and realized how terrible it would have been if her and Alex had actually dated. I feel like he would have put her through it and she would have bought what he said much more readily than Ashley did. I do not think Brittany is unintelligent or gullible- I think she might have low self-esteem and also wants love very badly, both of which are very human. But I am mucho glad they didn’t get together. Her denial with Devonta in the wedding episode was concerning and frankly kind of shocking, and I can imagine the disaster that would have ensued. Is it possible the edit affected this? Because the way she doesn’t pick up on any of his cues became too extreme at the end.
