Housing: Can’t resize items

I discovered some of my items on my island rotated in different ways (only banner decorations). I went to fix it and place some of the new decor and noticed I couldn’t resize my trees, chair- anything. Not sure if anyone else is having this problem and if you are, please submit a bug report- I just completed a few.

Side note: The new photo setting you get (I’m assuming after you get the new sailor unicorn outfit it’s unlocked? not sure) is right in the top middle of the screen when taking pictures and needs to be moved asap- plan to explore a little more to see if there’s a setting somewhere to turn it off and will edit post.
