From Ubuntu to Fedora
Hi everyone, I have been on Linux since 2 years ago. My first distribution was PopOs, I installed it on VM, at that time I used Windows and I started to migrate to Linux gradually.
Now I'm using Ubuntu but I want to try something different ( I tried ZorinOs and Kubuntu) I'm used to Debian like or Ubuntu like distros I'm thinking is time to take a step further.
I choose Fedora mainly because Linus Torvals uses it and the Gnome UI looks more minimalist and pretty that gnome's from Ubuntu.
Today I installed Fedora 43 on a VM using Boxes on Ubuntu and the installation It was straight forward (easier that Ubuntu I think) I love the wallpapers Fedora has. My plan is gradually migrate from Ubuntu.
The only thing that could be difficult to adapt is using dnf instead of apt. You know there are more things you can install with apt, but using flatpak gives you the majority.
BTW, do you think Fedora is a good distro for beginners or people who is coming from Windows 11?
