Why is every good tool creating their own platform?

• dbt got dbt cloud
• duckdb got motherduck
• dagster too has a paid offering
• great expectations got their own offering too
• even polars got one too

i understand the money-making aspect but how does this fare from a user perspective? aren't there already too many platforms?
