Lenovo LOQ15 lines on screen

I've done a bit of searching, and it's clearly a hardware issue. Has anyone replaced the panel and had the problem solved, or am I better turning this thing into a desktop and connecting an external keyboard and monitor? I already use a bluetooth trackball mouse and RF headset.
