Planning a trip to Hanoi, Vietnam

Should I still push through with an international trip? With the ongoing tensions in the Middle East and rising fuel prices, I'm wondering if it's still wise to push through.

A few days ago, I won a free 3D/2N hotel accommodation for 2, and I've already been planning to travel abroad this year. It would be my first international trip btw. I have three international options: Hanoi (Vietnam), Phuket (Thailand), and Bali (Indonesia). I'm leaning toward using it in Hanoi.

Travel expenses aren't covered but is fine with me. Now, I'm worried about how much we might end up spending if fuel prices keep rising. It will surely affect everyhing, from flights, land transpo, to food.

The free stay expires in 6mos, so I eather use it within that time or lose it.

I also have local options (Cebu, Bohol, or Palawan), but we know that traveling locally can sometimes be even more expensive. So now I'm stuck deciding if I should still go for the international trip, or play it safe and just choose local? Thank you!
