Glute Medius Pain
Hello!
I (30F) started going to physio last year for constant pain in my left glute. After a few weeks of physio and no improvement, my physio therapist sent me for an MRI
My MRI showed mild grade tendinosis in my glute medius and high grade tendinosis in my glute maximus.
Based on where my pan is when my PT assesses, I think i only really feel pain in my Glute medius.
We’ve tried shockwave therapy, acupuncture, stretching, yadda yadda. No improvement, and honestly i think the shock wave therapy made it worse
I lift weights and walk regularly, but it makes leg day difficult on my left side and is always irritated after
Shes now recommending a cortisone shot but i feel like this will only mask the pain, not solve it?
I lay on tennis balls/lacrosse balls and have my fiance push on it with his elbow to relieve pain temporarily 😫
Im at a loss and frustrated..! Any ideas what else it could be or other things to try?
