Experience with Meeting Mutuals Dating Mixers?

Hi everyone, I was curious if anyone here has attended one of the Meeting Mutuals dating mixers and what your experience was like. Dating apps have honestly started to wear me down, and I generally prefer meeting people in person, so I’ve been considering giving one of these events a try. I’ve had really positive experiences with the Timeleft app for in-person social dinners and meeting new friends, so I thought something like Meeting Mutuals might be a good option for dating or at least expanding my social circle.

For those who have gone, what are the events typically like? About how many people usually attend, and what does the demographic tend to look like in terms of age range, vibe, and gender balance? I’m also wondering if the environment feels natural and welcoming or if it can get a bit awkward, I'm a good conversationalist once I get going, but I can be a little reserved at first, especially in more “free-for-all” social settings. Do people tend to show up solo, or do most come with friends? Did you feel like it was easy to actually talk to people and make connections, or did it feel a bit cliquey? I’d also love to know people’s personal experience and if they have actually ended up exchanging numbers or going on dates after these events.

Lastly, if anyone has recommendations for other events, groups, or communities in the city that are good for meeting people, whether for dating, friendships, or just building community, I’d really appreciate it.
