Am I the only one who finds requiem plot the worst in the series ?

SpoilerForum question

It’s just so weirdly structured. We get little to none of the exposition or context for any of the key plot points. Like, why and how do Leon and Sherry suddenly get infected with the T-virus after all these years?

As spectators, we just see them in that condition and they talk about it casually, like it’s some random tripper they caught at a gangbang party.

And Victor — who’s presented as this evasive mastermind throughout the whole story — suddenly shows up cosplaying as some random biker mob from Resident Evil 5. What the hell happened there?

Then there’s that whole subplot about blood memory transfer. What does that even have to do with anything?

And what the fuck are those child baby-doll clones supposed to be?

The whole thing is just a disjointed mess.

And the worst part is that they play the Raccoon City card — which is basically the golden joker for fans — in the context of a random story full of a bunch of nobody characters, while not even mentioning Ada, Jill, or Claire.

And that closing scene where Leon says he didn’t hit any vitals on mutated Emily and that she can still be saved… I just died from cringe. Especially when it turns out that in this story about grotesque body mutations, her whole case was basically just a flesh suit around her. What the actual fuck?

By that point I was so appalled by the whole nonsense that I didn’t even have the motivation to fight Victor anymore. I just skipped ahead and watched the ending on YouTube.

And boy… was it bad
