Portfolio Review 30k SIP per month
Hi all,
I have been investing for about 2 years now. In my early twenties
Risk Appetite: Medium–High
Goal: No immediate goal (long-term wealth creation)
Investment Horizon: Long term
Current Monthly Allocation:
- Edelweiss Mid Cap Fund – ₹9,000
- Nippon India Small Cap Fund – ₹6,000
- UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund – ₹15,000
Reason for choosing these funds:
- UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund: Chose this as my core holding to track the broader market with low expense and consistent performance compared to many active large-cap funds.
- Edelweiss Mid Cap Fund: Added for mid-cap exposure and potential higher growth over the long term compared to large caps.
- Nippon India Small Cap Fund: Included for small-cap exposure and higher risk/reward potential in the long run.
Currently the portfolio isn’t performing very well (which I understand is the case for many funds recently).
I’d really appreciate input on:
- Whether my current allocation looks reasonable for my age and risk appetite
- If I should restructure the portfolio
- Whether I should add/remove any funds
- Or simply continue the SIPs as they are
