How long did it take you to enjoy Grime?

I love soulsvania games, but I’m really struggling to enjoy this one. I just beat Whispering Mothers. If I’m not into the game by now, should I just throw in the book? Or is there a point you would recommend playing to in order to give it a fair chance?

I really want to like it, especially because the sequel drops soon.
