Weight "holds"/Plateaus
About how many pounds/weeks between them are you seeing.
I take my 6th shot tomorrow. I lost 10lbs the first 3 weeks. Then as my 4th week was about to start I bounced back up 2 lbs, and held there for 9/10 days. It was brutal. I was hoping I would be one of those people that were like "That first month was great with inflammation and water loss" but instead got stuck in a 10 day hold 3.5 weeks into the process.
It did break about 4 days ago, and I quickly dropped 5.5 lbs in those 4 days. Which I was banking on cause I knew I wasn't eating enough to gain, or even maintain.
But I'm such a data person. So now I'm curious how often I should expect it.
Couple disclosures to save you all some time: I know this is a marathon not a sprint. I know I haven't gotten to a therapeutic dose, and that it's just getting built up in my system . I know it is/was inflammation/water in the first few weeks. I know 15 lbs is plenty in one month. I also know that .5-2lbs is not accurate for my body weight and 1% of my body weight a week is more realistic for me. I know this won't be the only time this happens. I know "10 days is nothing" and "it has to be 3-4 weeks to be considered a plateau." I know it can be dependent on cycles. This was ironically during what should have been my "easy loss" phase. I am tracking religiously, and know my TDEE.
I'm sure I'm forgetting something. But I really just have questions about how often you're seeing these while on tirz? To be fair...the hold was at the lowest weight I had seen in the last 5 years...I'm now seeing new numbers that I haven't seen since being pregnant during a pandemic. It's lovely! Just hoping it lasts a little longer than 10 lbs this time. I like momentum.
