AITA for not supporting my bf's career ?
My (f26) bf (m25) works in construction but is now depending on tik tok for income. He is gaining followers and making money from it but wants this to be his main income and forever job and talks about quitting his real job. I think it's a silly decision bc I don't think social media is a reliable long term career. These content creators have their peak on social media before falling off, their audiences grow outta it or other new content creators steal the spotlight.
I'm working to become a nurse soon and that's my future. And if I were to think long term, I don't understand how he thinks he can rely on tik tok until he's in his 30-40s+, and traveling constantly to make content. What if we have kids (not anytime soon at all tho, we've only been dating for 2 years), he's gonna constantly be out n about to make videos? It makes no sense
I don't think it's a smart idea but he gets defensive when I show doubt and gets upset for not believing or supporting him when I'm just tryna be realistic.
Idk how to go about this. This is my first relationship but at this age, I'm thinking of long term stability. What should I do? Break up??
