ID left in a store, then returned, what kind of identity theft can happen?

Casual Question 🗨

Figured people here may get my fear... After handing over my ID for a money service, the cashier forgot to hand it back, and I was trying to make the Post Office before they closed. Circled back within a half hour I had retrieved it. During that time, a series of prank calls & texts started on both of my numbers, my main and a text app for businesses.

One text said "got you", then "got you here too" on the other. Still going on, "i see you", "boo!" etc, no description though. I havnt answered but wtf? how both numbers and is this related to my ID information? Feel like i'm in the new Scream movie.

I'm not thrilled about the address being known either. Am I just ironically being pranked at the same time, i don't really know who would do this, thanks for any opinion, ive searched the number and it's in Philadelphia to Verizon, that's all. is this a Police issue or what do i do?
