Plot hole?

In DH, it seems awfully convenient that Ron immediately won’t let Harry or Hermione say Voldemort after they leave the ministry. I understand that he wouldn’t want them to say it after he had been wearing the locket for a while, but he stops them from saying the name conveniently early. Does anyway else agree?
