Before I order.... Headlamp Recommendation
Thanks to this sub, I've now dove headfirst into the rabbit hole. Now, my Sofirn H25LR headlamp no longer seems good enough and I'm looking to replace it. My main use case for this headlamp is backpacking/hiking/hunting. I'd ultimately like a better white tint (warmer/higher cri), while maintaining various output levels of the red light. The key criteria I'm looking for are:
- Headlamp
- 18650 battery
- Dual Channel White/Red lights with adjustable brightness levels for each light.
- Waterproof rating
- USB-C Charging Port (Preferred, seems to be the hardest to find with a dual channel light).
- UI isn't too big of a deal, provided it's not crazy hard to switch between channels.
- Budget: under $200
I'm looking at either the dual channel Emisar DW4 with the 519a 4000k domed (or the 519a 5700k dedomed) and SST-20 Deep Red emitters, or the Skillhunt H200 with the 519a 4000k option. At least the Skillhunt would only be carrying the proprietary charging cable.
Before I order one of these, am I missing any other headlamps that fit the criteria? The Emisar fits everything except the onboard charging. Which, if I have to give up for a better light, I'm fine with that compromise.
Also, I'm open to suggestions for the white emitter if there's something else I should be considering.
