Expected more from the Leon combat

I feel like everything is just janky?

Enemies barely react to my shots. Parries feel insanely clunky. The pistol options kinda…. suck. The part with the elite guards was cool until you realize you can’t really take cover in this game and your shoulder camera will fuck you up with your vision. Zombies that shoot machine guns and mortars at you.

Then when you start a new game you can’t pick up weapons regularly anymore and have to buy them from the item box. The fuck? Why is there no option for a *real* new game? They made some weird blend of new game and ng+

Skill issue? Maybe, but I was doing fine in re4r professional mode. It doesn’t feel hard it just feels janky, and things like the lack of a true new game (and new game plus) make me feel like more effort couldve went into Leon’s sections. For me, Grace is the definitive part of this game and I’m surprised because 4 and 4R are my favorite RE games
