Can anxiety cause a 66% oxygen level.
29f
Used a pulse oxymeter because I was having difficulty breathing and feeling lightheaded first reading came up as 66%, i rechecked again after 2 minutes it was 87% and then after trying again it went up to 99%x2.
I have lpr diagnosed by ENT and my doctor told me I have mild edema and lots of mucus in my throat about a month ago. Today my mucus felt a lot more than usual to the point where it's causing me difficultly swallowing, feeling of choking cause my throat/airway feels blocked and I feel like I'm drowning in mucus. This has caused me to have anxiety.
I was very anxious when I took my oxygen levels so Im wondering if its possible that was the reason for my low oxygen levels, I know an oxygen level that low is serious but i dont know if this is an emergency
I can't tell if I'm suffocating or I'm just anxious Pls help
