Rewatching season 2 convinced me of one thing: House is already winning

Spoiler

I don’t think the show is building toward a giant scramble to take New Vegas.I think the twist is that New Vegas was never the prize. It’s the trap. The more I sit with season 2 the more it feels like everyone thinks they’re making a move toward power, when really they’re being funneled toward a board that was already arranged for them. Lucy thinks shes chasing truth, Coop thinks hes chasing answers, Maximus his purpose. But what if all three are just arriving exactly where House always needed them?

That would explain why New Vegas feels less like a destination and more like a gravity well. Not just a city, but a place designed to turn every factions ambition against itself.

Now what if...

Season 3 opens with everyone believing the fight is about who gets to control New Vegas and then we find out the real twist is that House never needed to “return” to power in the first place. He built a game where everybody else walks themselves into check. That would be the most Fallout thing possible. not the strongest person winning but the person who understood the rules before everyone else realized they were playing. Am I reaching or does this actually fit what the show has been quietly setting up?
