Title: Tips for Agent Driven Development

I met up with some others who were developing software with agentic tools like Antigravity. I showed them how I start out all my software and it blew their mind so I thought I'd share it. Any of you that were in the software game before AI may recognize the pattern.

Plan it out:

- Tell your agent coding right now, just planning. Tell the agent to start markdown files for the planning. Describe the app you want and tell the AI to ask you 10 questions about how you want it. Then tell the agent to save everything to the markdowns. Close the conversation.

- Go to a different model and have them review the markdown(s) and ask it to ask you another 10 questions. Then you tell that same model to develop 30 user stories that are unique and distinct and save them in a USER_STORIES.md. Close the conversation.

- Take the USER_STORIES.md and review it and make sure they all make sense. (do not ask an AI to review it, it needs your eyes) Then take that and go to the gemini website or the claude website and input your USER_STORIES.md. Tell it to make you a text-based UML diagram based on the user stories. Close the conversation.

- Go back to Antigravity and save the UML from the web browser to a UML.md and put it in the project root. Last step before you start programming. Find your best and brightest model (Opus 4.6 or Codex 5.4 idk) and have it make you unit tests for every user story so it matches the UML diagram. This is important. You need to read every test. If you cant read code, then close the session and start a new one and ask the model to find something wrong with your unit tests, and repeat it 3 times. Push to Github.

This is what is referred to as Test Driven Development. Anytime you finish some new code, you need to run the tests to make sure your code isnt violating one of the tests. As soon as you write some code and you pass all of the tests, you push it to GitHub or whatever git provider you use. If you dont know about git, learn it. It will save your ass. Its only a matter of time before it saves your ass. The moment you get a little lazy and forget to back it up to github, BAM, thats when shit will hit the fan. Get github desktop, its not that hard.

Now that you have clear guardrails for the AI to follow, and backups in case the AI does whatever it wants anyways, you can relax and start churning out the gold. I hope no one is mad I am revealing trade secrets. If anyone has anything to add, drop it in the comments.
