Requesting some advice please- shaving my hair for the first time

Not sure if this is the right sub to ask but I'm hoping for advice. I'm (female with short bob) looking to shave my own hair for the first time but have no idea which electric razor to purchase. Ideally nothing too expensive. I'm not going for a completely bald head, but would like to get down to maybe 2 inches?

What razors would you recommend? All my searches bring up beard trimmers and I'm not sure they could handle an actual full head of hair.

Also, any tips on technique or is it just as simple as going in straight lines from front to back?
