Hamstring injury is it too soon to start physical therapy?

General Discussion/Questions

Is it too soon to make a physical therapy appointment given that it hurts constantly and gets worse with movement? Heck, it even hurts significantly more just to shift slightly in bed when I'm trying to fall asleep. Other information: I'm still limping and can't walk much without a lot of increase in pain. Today I tried cross-friction massage on it for the first time and it quickly caused more pain so I stopped. This is the seventh day since I strained it. (I'm a runner but I strained it doing the splits.) I'm guessing it's a grade 2 strain. No bruising.
