Question for VTubers about Personas.

Hi, everyone. I hope each of you are doing well. I had a question and I wanted to fence it to a community. I'm debating possibly creating a tuber myself and have been juggling a few different ideas. If I tread on anything private by asking, I apologize and mean no disrespect.

Let's say you enjoy playing a specific game and wanted to start a channel about playing it. Would it be better to portray a specific character of that world and game or something a little less attached in case you get bored or want to change focus later on?

Any input would be helpful. Thank you.
