Had a few thoughts after the latest episode, unemployment hits harder than ever.

(1st pic). Anyway, during the battle before retrial, the whole theatre was engulfed in Higuruma's bright, angry red. In my mind, this represents Higuruma's thought process, where he considers all humans to be weak and ugly, so the red color means aggression and hatred.

(2nd and 3rd pic). However, after the retrial and Yuji's admission committing a crime, the color palette changes. Now it has Yuji, being in his bright, blue and hopeful color, meanwhile Higuruma has somewhat greenish-yellowish.

I think it means how conflicted Higuruma is during this moment. He's conflicted with his aggressive, "don't have any hope in anyone" thought process because he already knows that Yuji didn't kill anyone, yet he took all the guilt. Even though Higuruma says that Yuji is the same as everyone else, he still has a bit of doubt in the back of his mind.

(4th and 5th pic). In the final showdown, all the spotlights land on Yuji. His brighter than ever hopeful blue color dominates the theatre, engulfing the whole space, just like Higuruma's red color during their first fight. At this bright light of Yuji's more like altruistic and kind aura Higuruma squints, and his green color disappears completely, because Yuji's brightness basically blinds him, blinds his doubts and somewhat erases his conflictions.

(6th pic). At the end Higuruma accepts Yuji's light. He accepts Yuji being different and makes his executioner sword disappear as he lets Yuji to land a blow on him. With that, Higuruma drowned in bright color of Yuji's innocence and it made Higuruma to change his whole thought process. Higuruma now thinks that there is a hope. That the world actually has a few innocent people, and not like Higuruma thought before, thinking about that everyone, without any exceptions, is ugly and weak.

That's it. I'm not the right person to deliver all of this because English is not my native language and I can't write like shakespeare, but whatever. You can correct me or fry me and just tell me I'm wrong and it's all headcanon.

How colors tell a story (a bit of yap)
